2012 Mortimore Prize announced - Art Collector

9 October 2012 | Queensland artist Tricia Reust has been awarded the 2012 Mortimore Prize for a charcoal portrait of her son titled Dappled Drowse.

The Mortimore Art Prize is now in its seventh year. $52,000 in prize money is awarded across the categories of waterscape, landscape, still life, drawing, figurative, smalls and, for the first time this year, surrealism.

The Mortimore Prize exhibition is on display at St Brigid’s Hall, Dubbo, until 21 October 2012. It will then tour across the east coast, including several major regional stops, until July 2013.
