AGSA names new director - Art Collector

1 June 2010 | Nick Mitzevich is leaving his post at the University of Queensland Art Museum to take up the directorship of the Art Gallery of South Australia. At 40 years old, he is the youngest person to helm the gallery in its 129 year history.

He was not available to comment on the appointment, however it is expected he will take up the new post in July.

Mitzevich replaces Christopher Menz, who stepped down in January 2010 in a public protest over lack of state government funding for the gallery.
