Alice Wormald joins Daine Singer Gallery - Art Collector

Alice Wormald

7 May 2012 | Melbourne gallery Daine Singer has taken representation of New Zealand-born painter Alice Wormald. Wormald is a recipient of various awards such as the Fiona Myer Award, Casama Group award and National Gallery of Victoria’s Women’s Association Award. Her works have been acquired by private collections in Australia, New Zealand and Switzerland, and she is most well known for her painterly distortions of the natural world.

Her first solo exhibition with Daine Singer Gallery is titled
Occluded View and will show from 26 July this year. The exhibition features cut- outs of natural imagery from books and magazines which have been reworked into landscape paintings.
