The Royal Botanic Gardens and Domain Precinct is the third exhibition of the work of Andrew Sibley at Kick Gallery. As a result of numerous field trips and research over the last two years, this new series of paintings highlights how Sibley remains an Australian virtuoso of painting. What comes to the fore in this new set of works is Sibley’s ability to paint with nuance and flair through his use of colour, composition and technique, the result is a veneration of the aesthetic qualities of the manicured gardens and suite of significant public places in Melbourne.

The exhibition will be officially opened at 3.30pm Saturday 26 April by Profesor Tim Entwisle – Director of the Royal Botanic Gardens in Melbourne.
