6 October 2010 | Painter Annette Allman has won this year’s Mandorla Art Award, a prize for religious art which this year asked entrants to respond to the question: “And who is my neighbour?”

Caring in a Competitive World will now be acquired by the inter-denominational Mandorla Centre of Inner Peace, with the artist also receiving a cash prize of $20,000.

Past winners of the prize have included John Coburn (1992) and Julie Dowling (2000).

The award exhibition is open until 17 October 2010 at Moores Contemporary Gallery in Fremantle.
