Art Basel Hong Kong unveils details of Encounters - Art Collector

27 March 2013 | Tickets are now on sale for the first edition of Art Basel in Hong Kong. The art fair will present 245 galleries from around the world with half of the exhibitors coming from the Asia-Pacific region, including Australia and New Zealand. Art Basel Hong Kong runs from 23 to 26 May 2013 and tickets are available to purchase online - click here for details.

Art Basel Hong Kong has also announced the details of its
Encounters sector that will showcase large-scale sculptural installations by artists from around the world. Encounters is curated by Yuko Hasegawa, chief curator of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Tokyo. Highlights from Encounters include Arndt, who will present Circa by Indian artist Jitish Kallat (pictured above) and Simon Lee Gallery who will exhibit sculptures by American artist Marnie Weber.

Art Collector will be hosting an Art Basel Hong Kong collector’s tour. Led by art and travel writer Helen McKenzie the tour will provide behind the scenes access to the art world. Tour dates are 20 to 23 May 2013. Please register your interest by emailing
