Artbank spends $80,000 at Melbourne Art Fair - Art Collector

24 August 2010 | A $12,000 Josie Kunoth canvas and a $11,000 marble sculpture by Alexander Seton were among Artbank's key acquisitions at Melbourne Art Fair this August.

The national contemporary art rental agency revealed it acquired over $80,000 worth of artwork at the fair, spanning painting, video, works on paper and sculpture.

Among the works that have joined the Artbank collection are James and Eleanor Avery's
Harfang Noir, two 50 by 60 centimetre paintings by Craig Waddell, Patrick Doherty's painting The Fairer Sex, two pieces by Belle Bassin, Medallion by Anna Kristensen and Joan Ross's video work When I grow up I want to be a forger.
