2 July 2012 | Artist couples are being celebrated in a new exhibition at Sydney’s SH Ervin Gallery.

Curated by Joseph Eisenberg and Kim Blunt,
In [Two] Art presents work of 60 artists (30 couples) including Rick Amor and Meg Williams, Wendy Sharpe and Bernard Ollis and David Fairbairn and Suzanne Archer.

Talking about life as one half of a creative couple, Fairbairn says: “We both believe that the absolute priority in our lives is making art. Working alongside another creative person who also shares that obsession is the best combination”

Other artist couples in the show include James Avery and Eleanor Avery, Sean Cordeiro and Claire Healy, Geoff Dixon and Arone Meeks, Christopher Hodges and Helen Eager, Mark Kimber and Deborah Paauwe and Peter Vandermark and Marie Hagerty.

The exhibition is part of a series supported by Ray Wilson and the late James Agapitos.

It runs from 6 July to 12 August 2012 at SH Ervin Gallery in Sydney.
