| 4 October 2011 | Western Australia’s Artsource is celebrating its 25th anniversary this month by staging an open day at its Fremantle studios. The open day will be on 23 October 2011. Twenty-four artists are taking part, including emerging artist Rebecca Baumann, who is currently showing in Primavera at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney, and Carol Wells, Stephen Armitstead, Rachel Coad and Ian De Souza. The Western Australian organisation has a mandate of supporting local artists. Over its 25-year history close to 200 artists have used the studio spaces at its Fremantle premises. The open day will take place at 8 Phillimore Street in Fremantle from 3pm on 23 October 2011. A VIP event will also be held earlier in the day which will be emceed by Western Australian artist Tony Jones. | ||||
