Athene Currie: Eastern Face - Art Collector

Currie takes us to northern Nepal and the house of the late Colonel Sir George Everest, the famous surveyor and geographer. This house of architectural and historic significance has long been neglected and left to degrade. Moving through the crumbling white walls and stone pillars, she brings us beyond the façade to delve into our discontent about personal and global dilemmas, depicting concerns about conservation - not just of architecture, objects and memories, but ultimately of life and peace.
