2 October 2013 | The 4th Athens Biennale, titled AGORA, opened this week. Using the empty building of the former Athens Stock Exchange as its main venue, AGORA draws on the notions of the assembly and the assemblage to explore creative alternatives to a state of bankruptcy.

New Zealand born and Melbourne based multidisciplinary artist Paul Handley has been invited to participate. He will present a new, text-based project that explores notions of democracy and the discourse of connectivity within the public domain - an example of the project is shown above.

Aside from artworks, the biennale will comprise collaborative events, performances, roundtable discussions, film screenings and workshops. You can view the calender
here. The 4th Athens Biennale will run until 1 December 2013.
