Sydney’s Gallery 9 has announced their representation of artist Belem Lett.

Lett has joined the gallery stable following his two solo exhibitions at the gallery, Far from Nowhere in 2013 and Island Fever in 2014, with the next exhibition taking place in late 2015.

The Sydney-based artists’ work is most recently known for its visualisations of virtual spaces and cartographic illustrations. Rendered as abstract forms, the subjects appear to float on layered grounds. Lett’s latest work moves away from the GPS maps seen in Far From Nowhere, investigating new abstract forms with distinctive brushwork. Lett works predominantly with drawing, painting and sculpture.

Lett has been a finalist in numerous prizes including the Brett Whiteley Travelling Art Scholarship in 2008 and 2009, before winning this prestigious award in 2010.
