Bethamy Linton: Imprint - Art Collector

Gallows Gallery is proud to present an intriguing exhibition of jewellery by Bethamy Linton. Bethamy is a fourth generation silversmith whose family dates back to her great great grandfather Sir James Drumgole Linton, a painting tutor to Queen Victoria’s daughters. Imprint is a selection of intricately detailed hand cut titanium and embossed sterling silver jewellery works. Taking inspiration from antique lace work and natural science illustrations the work is developing plays with ideas of perception and representation, making motifs of encounters with the world. It reflects on history, place and the distortion of memory, elevating and preserving experience.
