After 18 years of operating in North Hobart, Bett Gallery is making a move to the CBD.

The purpose-built central gallery space will be located on Murray Street, being hailed as a new central arts hub for the city.

Director Emma Bett hopes the move will provide improved access and facilities for both artists and collectors. “The new space will allow us to exhibit two major exhibitions concurrently and give us excellent display and storage space,” she says.

While the North Hobart space has now closed, the gallery is still contactable by email and phone. Online trade will also continue throughout the transition period.

Bett Gallery is slated to open in Hobart CBD in late July with exhibitions of new work by acclaimed stable artists Pat Brassington and Amanda Davies.
