Bronwyn Johnson names successors - Art Collector

Laetitia Prunetti and Emilly-Rose Davis.

19 December 2011 | The end of the year brings a number of shuffles to the art deck. Laetitia Prunetti and Emilly-Rose Davis have been named Bronwyn Johnson’s successors at the Melbourne Art Fair. Both have previously worked with the fair as project managers and have been trained by Johnson. They will jointly direct the 2012 fair.

The Melbourne Art Foundation’s Bill Nuttall comments: “We ran a selection process for a new director with every expectation of making an external appointment. Emilly-Rose and Laetitia absolutely bowled us over in the interview process. It was clear to the interview panel that Bronwyn Johnson, our former director, has been a wonderful mentor to these women.”

In Sydney, Edmund Capon is finishing up with the Art Gallery of New South Wales this week after 33 years of service and Hetti Perkins, who stepped down as Indigenous art curator in September, has moved into an artist residency at the Bangarra Dance Theatre.
