Bruce Latimer: Etchings - Art Collector

Bruce Latimer, Fluroescence 1, etching with hand colouring, 75 x 50cm, edition of 18. Courtesy: the artist and Beaver Galleries, Canberra

The etchings of Bruce Latimer explore evidence of human presence within the natural world in all of its varied manifestations. From signs of gentle transit in the landscape through to significant domination of the natural world, Latimer looks for a potent narrative where often incongruous elements collide. His etchings are both ethereal and captivating with poignant details that await discovery by the viewer. Latimer's work is represented in many collections including the National Gallery of Australia, the state galleries of New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and Queensland, and many Australian regional galleries.
