Christoph Dahlhausen is based in Bonn, Germany. A distinguished curator and academic, he curated the monumental exhibition, Australian Contemporary Non-Objective art that was staged at several German venues. For Dahlhausen, colour is an exuberant and sensitive entity that exists and marks out its own space and time. In New Ways to Colour the Wall, colour escapes from the boundaries of its container, engaging viewers in a game of ‘connect the dots’ across the wall. In his transparent works viewers simultaneously see through colour and around it, allowing them to notice the world and indeed themselves in relationship to it.
