|14 November 2011 | Painter Claire Bridge has been appointed visual arts adviser on the cultural committee of the American Australian Association, a non-profit organisation promoting cultural exchange between Australia and the United States. |
One of her responsibilities is being the visual arts contact for the Dame Joan Sutherland Fund.
She will also be hosting a panel event in New York on 20 November 2011. Running under the name Sunday Spotlight Series the first event will look at the topic: No man is an island – artists in New York responding to a global world.
Bridge has invited David Rankin, Maria Kozic, Natasha Johns‐Messenger and Simone LeAmon as the guest artists to speak on the panel.
