16 May 2011 | Conny Dietzschold Gallery is saying goodbye to Danks Street. The gallery, which celebrates its 10th anniversary in Australia this year, is leaving the Waterloo gallery complex to move to 99 Crown Street in East Sydney.

The gallery was founded in 1989 in Cologne, moving into the Danks Street complex when it opened in 2001.

The new gallery space will be launched with a group exhibition, When ideas become form, opening on 23 June 2011.

The Crown Street gallery also has an open stockroom on the ground floor, plus a 100-seat hall on the first floor which will be used to host events like artist and panel talks, seminars and matinees.

Art adviser Annette Larkin is also planning on leaving the Danks Street complex to start up a new venture, and Breenspace, which was nearby on Young Street, has also recently left the area to take up new premises in the Sydney CBD.
