In her third solo exhibition Warnarringa - Jarrikalani: Sun - Turtle, Cornelia Tipuamantumirri depicts Jilamara - Tiwi designs. She is also inspired by the tidal movements around her country of Pirlangimipi on Melville Island, Northern Territory, which carry masses of salt into the sand, transforming the coastal landscape. The luminous patterns in her paintings emulate the effects of waves breaking on the sand, and the shapes and forms that banapa (fishing nets) create when cast into the sea.

Exhibition opens: 2-4pm Saturday 2 August 2014
Exhibition closes: 8 August 2014
