Daine Singer opens in Flinders Lane - Art Collector

6 June 2011 | Curator Daine Singer is opening a new commercial gallery in Flinders Lane in Melbourne.

Called Daine Singer, the gallery will open on 23 June 2011 with a solo exhibition by Melbourne photographer Kate James.

Other represented artists include Simon O’Carrigan, Michael Needham, Andrew McQualter and Kate Just, who will be presenting a temporary project in Zurich with the gallery in October.

As a curator, Singer has worked on projects including Experimenta Utopia Now, a biennial of media art (touring Australia 2010-2011), Dream Weavers (CAST Gallery, 2010) and Draw the Line: the Architecture of Lab (National Gallery of Victoria, 2009).

Singer also has commercial gallery experience and was previously the gallery manager at Anna Schwartz Gallery in Melbourne. She is also a member of the advisory committee at Blindside ARI.

Daine Singer will be in the basement space at 325 Flinders Lane, Melbourne.
