The new D+H Gallery website.

25 September 2012 | Auction house Deutscher and Hackett has launched an online gallery to sell work by emerging and mid-career artists.

Currently, the D+H Gallery ( website stocks work by Russell Drysdale, Brett Whiteley, William Robinson, Max Dupain, Michael Johnson, James Gleeson, Peter Booth and David Larwill.

According to a statement released by Deutscher and Hackett, the site was launched in response to feedback that visitors to the website wanted a buy now function instead of having to wait for auctions. The site will also be used to sell work that was passed in at auction.

“Our online gallery provides an easy, accessible and safe method of buying and selling art, which will complement both our major fine art auctions and our online art auctions," says director Damian Hackett.

Last year the auction house backed the opening of a primary market gallery space in Sydney, New Albion Gallery.
