Dianne Fogwell: Renascent - Art Collector

Dianne Fogwell, Emergence, linocut on archival rag paper, unique, 107.5 x 78.5cm. Image courtesy the artist and Beaver Galleries, Canberra.

Dianne Fogwell’s layered linocuts engage with the cyclical passage of decay and renewal within her local environment. Each ghostly layer of weathered tree, pollinating flower and native bird visually demonstrates her pursuit to understand that, as Dianne reflects, “all things pass in both nature and ourselves.” Dianne has exhibited widely across Australia and in group shows internationally for the past 40 years. She is represented in numerous collections including the National Gallery of Australia, National Library of Australia, Artbank, Australian War Memorial, Canberra Museum and Gallery and the Art Institute of Chicago (USA).
