Melbourne-based Dianne Tanzer Gallery has announced their representation of painter Chris Bond.

Bond’s painting practice expands on the tradition of realist painting by creating the illusion of a three dimensional object, ending in a work resembling the form of painted facsimiles of imagined books, magazines, exhibition catalogues and correspondence.

Bond has been curated in exhibitions at The National Gallery of Victoria, ACCA, Heide Museum of Modern Art, Museum of Contemporary Art Australia, Linden New Art, Centre for Contemporary Photography and Gertrude Contemporary Art Spaces. His work is represented in the collections of Bendigo Art Gallery, Artbank and The National Gallery of Victoria. In 2013 he was awarded the Arthur Guy Memorial Painting Prize.
