Donation earmarked for MCA - Art Collector

31 August 2010 | Proceeds from the sale of a Fred Williams painting have been earmarked for donation to the Museum of Contemporary Art.

Estimated at $400,000 to $600,000, the 1965 painting Lysterfield V has been consigned to Deutscher and Hackett’s sale on on 1 September 2010 by Cynthia Jackson AM.

Jackson has provided ongoing support to the Museum of Contemporary Art, founding the annual Primavera exhibition in 1992 in honour of her late daughter Belinda Jackson, and founding the Bella Program in 1993, an education program dedicated to children with special needs.

Part of the proceeds from the sale of the Fred Williams painting will also be directed towards this program.
