Doria Fusun Saglam wins $8,000 painting prize - Art Collector

25 June 2012 | Sydney-based painter Doria Fusun Saglam has won the $8,000 first prize in the 2012 Mount Eyre Art Prize for her painting of mountains breaking through a cloud filled valley.

The award, run by winemakers Mount Eyre with Sydney’s Rex-Livingston Art Dealer, is open to painters and mixed media artists working in any genre.

Claude Jones won the second prize of $2,000 for the second year in a row.

Previous winners include Neil Taylor and Dagmar Cyrulla.
