Effie Pryer, Sebastian Galloway: The Birds - Art Collector

There's something about birds that simultaneously unsettles and stirs obsessive passion in people. We are exploring own connection with these capricious creatures as well as understanding the passions and phobias of others through the uncompromising lens of realistic portraiture.

Effie Pryer BA UTAS, Masters in Conservation at University Melbourne and studies Europe. Effie has demonstrated outstanding handling in the portraiture genre and has received awards and accreditation on a national level including RACT Portraiture Prize, Manning Prize, Qantas Young Achievers Art Awards and Black Swan Portraiture Prize 2017.

Sebastian Galloway BA UTAS has found a painterly strength in portraiture and fine detail, his work are brilliantly executed in precision of light, shadow, line, texture and forms. A finalist in numerous portraiture awards, he has further achieved recognition as Hound in the Hunt artist at MONA, a role of analysis and execution in interpreting Vermeer's works.
