Elizabeth Pulie extends her ongoing philosophical project concerning the end of art. A new series of works conflate arts and crafts aesthetics with a conceptual approach to painting, driving it towards decoration as an end point. Utilising a variety of formats and materials, from political banners to macrame, embroidery and beading, Pulie creates an aesthetic frisson in the as-yet unfinished debates around art’s possible future.
