Fiona Hall awarded Order of Australia medal - Art Collector

12 June 2013 | Renowned contemporary artist Fiona Hall has been appointed an officer of the Order of Australia medal at the award ceremony held on the Queen's birthday public holiday.

Hall was awarded for her distinguished service to the visual arts as a painter, sculptor and photographer as well as for her contribution to art education. Her work is held in most of the nation's important public collections including the National Gallery of Australia and the National Gallery of Victoria. She is represented by Roslyn Oxley9 Gallery in Sydney and is currently being showcased at a solo exhibition at the Heide Museum of Modern Art in Melbourne until 21 July 2013.
