  • Young Queensland curator Jessica O’Farrell has been accepted into London’s Goldsmith College to undertake a two-year masters course in curating.
  • Swich Contemporary Art Space, a new gallery showing emerging artists, has opened in Ipswich, Queensland. Its director is local artist LeAnne Vincent.
  • Associate Professor Su Baker has been appointed director of the Victorian College of the Arts. Baker has been head of the School of Art for the past 10 years.
  • International Art Services will be giving $2,000 to the People’s Choice Award for the Paddington Art Prize this year. The art transport company intends to continue providing this non-acquisitive prize in future. Marlene Antico will again personally contribute the $20,000 for the main prize.
