4 December 2013 | Since our update last week, Art Collector can reveal that more of Australia's leading galleries have signed up new artists to their stables.

Lindberg Galleries in Melbourne now represents sculptor Wanda Gillespie who was a recipient of a new work grant from the Australia Council last year. She has exhibited nationally, in Italy and Indonesia, and will hold her first solo show with Lindberg in mid 2014.

Sutton Gallery in Melbourne now represent painter Amanda Marburg. Her distinctive works are characterised by an interplay between two and three dimensionality - she builds plasticine figures that are photographed against composed studio backdrops, and these photographs form the basis of her paintings. She was a finalist in the 2011 and 2013 Archibalds, and will have her first exhibition with Sutton in April next year.

Mars Gallery in Melbourne now represents multimedia artist Mia Salsjo and digital and installation artist Brie Trenerry.

Salsjo studied music performance at the Victorian College of the Arts. Her art works are informed by the architecture of orchestral scores, repetition and codes.

Trenerry is currently working on a suite of videos that explore the imagery and theory of dreams and dream-like states in motion picture. She was a founding member of Kings ARI in Melbourne and her solo show at Mars opens next week.
