Gina Lee leaves Niagara Galleries - Art Collector

31 July 2012 | Melbourne’s Niagara Galleries said goodbye to associate director Gina Lee this week.

“Obviously this was not a decision made lightly, but after 14 wonderful, exhilarating and exhausting years it is simply time for a change,” she said in an email to colleagues.

“I can't express enough what a privilege it has been to work at Niagara and I am indebted to Bill [Nuttall, Niagara’s director] for giving me the opportunity to do so.

“His mentorship has allowed me to undertake projects I never imagined possible. The artists have been especially generous with their time, knowledge and friendship and I thank each of them for allowing me to be part of their world over the years. What an absolute honour to work with such amazing people.”

She talks further about the reason for the move in her new blog ( which she says will include “updates, musings, cries for help and general observations as I discover if there really is life after Niagara”.
