Gomeroi Gaaynggal: Connection, Culture and the Unborn - Art Collector

Courtesy of Gomeroi Gaaynggal artists and Tamworth Regional Gallery, Tamworth.

This exhibition showcases traditional and contemporary Aboriginal artworks featuring themes of connection, culture and the unborn, which are important to the artist-participants of the Gomeroi Gaaynggal Artshealth program.

Connection between mothers and their unborn children, the past and the present, cultures, race and religion.

Culture is a vital part of who we are as a people. We pass our knowledge and culture to our children through language, art and storytelling.

The unborn are our future. They are our way forward. They are who will remember us when we are gone. They will honour those that have passed before us.
