Greenaway exhibits at India Art Summit - Art Collector

17 January 2011 | Adelaide’s Greenaway Art Gallery is presenting work by Jenny Watson and Hossein Valamanesh at India Art Summit this month.

Now in its third edition, the biennial fair began as a largely domestic event but the international presence has been growing. This year 34 of the 84 exhibiting galleries are from outside of India, including Lisson Gallery (London) and Sundaram Tagore Gallery (Hong Kong/China).

Sydney’s Grantipirrie is the only other Australian gallery participating.

The 2009 edition of the fair attracted 40,000 visitors and organisers are hoping this will rise to 70,000 this year.

India Art Summit will be held in New Delhi from 21 to 23 January 2011.
