Black Visions provides an opportunity to explore artistic endeavours that fall outside our general expectations of Aboriginal art and the strong market-driven interests in desert painting, or the on-going dot-painting phenomenon. The Albury Art Gallery has a growing collection of contemporary Australian photography that includes works by prominent indigenous artists. This exhibition brings together images that reveal a broad range of approach to image making, from the narrative images of Destiny Deacon and Tracey Moffatt to the ethereal works of Leah King-Smith's Time on Earth series.
