GROUP EXHIBITION: MISS-REPRESENT
Group exhibition: Miss-REPRESENT - Art Collector
| Hannah Bronte, Still I Rise – Boss Woman (still from video), 2016. Incinerator Art Space, Willoughby. |
|Contemporary Aboriginal artists Megan Cope, Hannah Bronte, Katie West, Lorna Munro, Merindah Donnelly and Tjanara Talbot set the record straight about misconceptions and misrepresentations of Aboriginality. |
Unapologetically conveying their individual beliefs and journeys through digital media and costume design, these six artists employ humour, satire and hip-hop to confront preconceptions of identity. Strong, informed and connected, these young and creative women take pride in standing up and representing.
Miss-REPRESENT is part of the Guringai Festival 2016. Public programs can be viewed on the Incinerator Art Space website.
