A group exhibition featuring Cornelia Tipuamantumirri and Delores Tipuamantumirri, and gallery artists including Israel Birch, Peter Cooley, Adrienne Doig, Neil Frazer, Linde Ivimey, Ildiko Kovacs and Fiona Lowry.

Cornelia Tipuamantumirri’s paintings are mostly inspired by the effect of tides on the coastal landscape of Pirlangimpi, on the west coast of Melville Island in the Northern Territory. She paints traditional Tiwi Jilamara (designs), using a distinctive and highly developed style to emulate the movement of waves lapping at the shore.

Delores Tipuamantumeri is the only child of respected elders Steven and Cornelia Tipuamantumirri. Like her mother, Delores Tipuamantumeri uses the traditional tiwi comb (kayimwagakimi) for her painting, applying natural ochre tones to linen, creating a moving ripple effect suggesting a thrown fishing net.
