Group Exhibition: The Kanpi Car Show - Art Collector

McCulloch & McCulloch and Salt Contemporary in association with Tjungu Palya are delighted to present an exhibition of outstanding paintings created specially to raise funds for the purchase of a 4WD for ceremonial purposes. Artists Marita Baker, Kaye Baker, Ruth Fatt, David Miller, Teresa Baker, Milpati Baker, Maureen Baker, Kani Patricia Tunkin and Anton Baker are relatives of the famed late artist Jimmy Baker, co founder of the tiny homeland Kanpi community in the north-west of SA. The works of Tjungu Palya artists feature in major public and private collections Australia-wide and these large, glowing works redolent with narrative power, brilliant detail and luminous colouration are first class examples from this pivotally-significant APY arts centre. Artists in conversation/illustrated talk with Susan McCulloch: 5 pm Saturday March 10. Curators floor talk 3pm Sunday March 11.
