Curated by the International Development for Australian Indigenous Art (IDAIA) and supported by the embassy of France in Australia, this exhibition celebrates the role of Aboriginal women artists and acknowledges the role France has played in raising the international profile of Australian indigenous art.

Originating from two historic Aboriginal art centres, Warlukurlangu Artists in Yuendumu in the Northern Territory and Warlayirti Artists in Balgo Hills in Western Australia, the showcased works explore women's painting and their gestures relating to transmission from younger emerging artists to senior painters. Leading artists such as Elizabeth Nyumi, Judy Napangardi Watson and Dorothy Napangardi will be on display.
