Glassimations showcases an exhibition of contemporary Australian artworks that bridge glass and animation to produce works with qualities that are unique to these two mediums and yet create a dialogue between them. Curated by Lienors Torre, the exhibiting arists are Alastair Boell, Tom Moore, Mark Elliott and Jack McGrath, Dierdre Feeney, Lee Whitmore and Lienors Torre. A range of glass processes are employed by the different artists: flame-worked and blown glass, kiln-formed and assembled, painted and carved - and provide a real opportunity to see a great range of artworks in glass that exist in their own right as well as being curious and unusual animations.
