Nganampa Ngura, Nganampa Tjukurpa - Our Country, Our Culture showcases new work from senior men Hector Burton, Ray Ken, Mick Wikilyiri, Kunmanara Roberts, Robert Burton and Stanley Windy, all working with Tjala Arts in the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) Lands, South Australia. Anangu country and culture are paramount in this body of work, with each artist deriving inspiration from their traditional tjukurpa and ngura. These sacred stories remain culturally relevant to these men and their community, which are thoughtfully portrayed through striking imagery, stylistic experimentation and intense colour. The highly sophisticated and contemporary depictions of landscape and Law on display are a celebration of Anangu culture both past and present.
