This exhibition highlights the strength and diversity of four South-West Australian artists. For the ten years preceding his death in January 2010, Mossenson Galleries worked closely with acclaimed Nyoongar artist Shane Pickett. A dedicated teacher and mentor of artistic expression, Pickett is arguably regarded as being the leading Nyoongar artist of the modern era. In recent years, Sandra Hill's chronicling of women’s issues and candid dialogue pertaining to her own family history have seen her build a strong artist profile, both internationally and within Australia. As a poignant counterpart, the works of Hill’s son Ben Pushman delve into the depths of his individual narrative, presenting yet another pertinent dimension of the history of the Nyoongar people.

Join Mossenson Galleries for an artist talk by Sandra Hill at 2.30pm Sunday 29 June 2014.
