The John Leslie Art Prize is one of Australia’s most prestigious prizes for landscape painting, consistently attracting the highest calibre of artists in Australia.

This significant art prize for landscape painting has run biannually since 2000. This year the overall prize money has increased to $20,000, including a first prize of $15,000.

The gallery received a record 273 entries from all over Australia. A selection panel comprising gallery advisory board members and gallery staff determined a shortlist of 35 finalists, whose works will be presented at the gallery.
