Freda Gilbert, Marie Burns and Shenane Jago first exhibited their works at Cairns Indigenous Art Fair 2012. Following their success there, this exhibition showcases new hand built ceramic pots and sculptures by the artists. They attend Bynoe Arts & Crafts in Normanton, a community-based organisation in north Queensland where local indigenous artists are encouraged to produce a broad range of artworks from ceramics to sculpture to painting. Each artist is inspired by their natural environment including local flora and fauna, as well as a keen interest in exploring their culture and history, and connection with country.
