20 March 2013 | West Australian artist Susanna Castleden has won the fourth Burnie Print Prize for her work Building The World in the correct position and the correct shape, pictured above.

Castelden was born in London and is now based in Fremantle. Her works explore the mapping and experience of place and are held in many significant Australian collections including the National Gallery of Australia and Artbank.

The decision to award Castleden's work the main $12,000 acquisitive prize was unanimous. The judging panel also awarded a highly commended prize to Tasmanian artist Michael Schlitz for his hand printed woodcut
Gravity & light, crossflow.
