Hector Burton: Solo exhibition - Art Collector

This exhibition will present new paintings by senior artist and Amata elder Hector Burton. The artist's highly sophisticated and contemporary interpretations of traditional tjukurpa and ngura in paint on canvas are a celebration of his culture, both past and present.

In 2013, Hector Burton was announced as a finalist in the Kate Challis RAKA Award, and was named winner of the Roi Art Prize. His artworks features in major institutions including the Art Gallery of New South Wales, Sydney, the Art Gallery of South Australia, Adelaide, the National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne, and major private collections.
