Ikuntji Artists is Haasts Bluff’s Indigenous owned and run art centre. It was first established in 1992 as a women’s centre and has been continuously operating ever since.

The art centre works with 50 artists who are particularly famous for their use of bold and vibrant colours and their inclusion of traditional motifs alongside figurative and naturalistic imagery. Connections to country and dreamings are expressed through the artists’ personal and unique signature styles.

The main language groups of Ikuntji Artists is Pintupi and Luritja.

Access information

Ikuntji is situated 220 kilometres west of Alice Springs and 100 kilometres west of Glen Helen. 58 kilometres of that is unsealed road. Please ring the art centre prior to visiting, as a permit through the CLC is required.
