Inaugural Korean Australian exhibition opens in Sydney - Art Collector

|12 April 2012 | The Korean Cultural Office in Sydney is hosting an inaugural exhibition featuring five local artists and three Korean artists including 2009 National Museum of Contemporary Art in Korea’s Artist of the Year Yong-sun Suh.|
Seoul based Suh, a painter and sculptor will be reflecting on everyday life in Melbourne while fellow video artist Yong-suk Oh, who recently participated at the Moscow, Seville and Shanghai Biennales will be showcasing work inspired by his artist residency at Artspace Sydney in 2011.
The Australasian contingent of the exhibition will feature Locust Jones, Yvonne Boag and Giles Ryder to name a few.
In 2011, Australia was the guest country at the Korean International Art Fair with a strong coterie of Australian galleries going to the fair.
Through your eyes will be on show at the Korean Cultural Office from 18 April to 29 June 2012.
