19 June 2013 | Rebecca Hastings, a recent graduate from the Adelaide Central School of Art, has sold out her debut solo exhibition at Flinders Lane Gallery in Melbourne. Disquiet showcased her unique paintings that intentionally subvert traditional representations of the mother and child bond. Flinders Lane Gallery reported that most of her works sold prior to the opening.

Multimedia artist Marcel Cousins has just had a suite of his works acquired by the Australian War Memorial in Canberra. Cousins' up-scaled sculptures of toy soldiers challenge idealised notions of war and were part of Cousin’s exhibition at Helen Gory Gallery in Melbourne earlier this year.
