13 March 2013 | There's been lots of gallery activity this week.

Austin Tung Gallery in Prahran has announced its closure to enable its resources to be available for the Australia China Art Foundation artist programs. Austin Tung was estbalished by philanthropist Yashian Schauble in 2011.

In other news,
Sarah Cottier Gallery has reopened in Roylston Street, Paddington with solo exhibitions by Gemma Smith and Jamie North.

William Mora Galleries in Melbourne announced that their Brian Martin solo exhibition was a complete success. All ten works sold, with one going to the National Gallery of Victoria.

Still in Melbourne, the
Ian Potter Museum of Art has announced the appointment of Kelly Gellantly as their new director. Gellantly is currently curator of contemporary art at the NGV and will take up her new post in April.

Hopkinson Cundy in Auckland have added Peter Robinson to their stable. Robinson represented New Zealand at the 2001 Venice Biennale and participated in the 1998 and 2012 Sydney biennale.
